The class is a prerequisite for the Advanced Public Information Course (E388) at the Emergency Management Institute and is an Elective for Advanced Professional Series (APS) certification. Target Audience: This updated 16-hour course is designed for the new or less experienced Public Information Officer (PIO) or for anyone who may be asked to fill the role in an expanding incident.
