The class is a prerequisite for the Advanced Public Information Course (E388) at the Emergency Management Institute and is an Elective for Advanced Professional Series (APS) certification. Target Audience: This updated 16-hour course is designed for the new or less experienced Public Information Officer (PIO) or for anyone who may be asked to fill the role in an expanding incident. All participants much register not later than Wednesday, March 25; therefore, early registration is encouraged.
